CLOWN DOING HANDSTANDS WHIRLIGIG

Practice makes perfect.
Stretch out those legs!! LOL

This, my friends, is a one-of-a-kind whirligig.

 I designed,handpainted and handmade this unique, original design clown that does handstands on his own colorful stage.

I had decided to make a different one so that he could just be sat on a deck, porch or table, and still work well, instead of on the usual rod. 

I needed to make sure that the propeller would not touch anything and that the     platform that the clown is on is sturdy, so it won't be knocked over in the wind.

The painted design and colors came as I made the whirligig. He has all brass

hardware.

You have 2 movements. His legs, as well

as his body, move in a very smooth

up and down movement. Just sit him

down facing the wind and watch 

Now with a nice smooth movement,
 lower your legs and relax.  Perfect!!

He was really a lot of fun to make and watch. He can be outside doing his tricks or inside looking like a million in your home.

He is a great home decor,collectable item and a great conversation piece.

It seems to me that anyone that has a vision in their mind of what they want to make, can, if they just take the time and try.

Even if someone tells you, "You can't do that," it doesn't make it so. Try. 

You might just surprise them.
